Who Is Stripping These Now Defective Lenses

There are very few optical businesses that offer this service and they are wide and far spread. Optical Chains usually do not offer it as they are sales oriented and have their staff often working on commission and  trained to sell new lenses instead. Even if you the consumer wants to strip an old pair to tint them into sunglasses the retailers refuse to do it in general.

Furthermore the glasses purchased on line at rock bottom prices do not offer a prime type AR on their AR coated lenses and therefore won't stand up too long a normal daily use. When they go bad and delaminate, you want them removed and stripped so you can continue to use the glasses instead of having to purchase new ones.

We are continuously receiving e-mail from consumers that would like their lenses stripped of the coating and their optical retailers tell them it can not be done, or they are not doing it.

Our company has produced AR strippers since 1986 and have continuously improved the product. Today it is the fastest working product on the market, but also is  the one that provides the least danger to any user as the acid content is only 11.5%.

There are many that do it but they are sometimes hard to find. Any coating lab can do it, but they are not always ready to strip older lenses.

We are now providing a list of Retailers or Labs, by State and or Province, that is ready to strip consumers lenses over the following pages.

Retailers will get a free listing for 6 month, with the purchase of OMS AR Strippers so that consumers can find somebody in their area that can do it. The list will start with very few names and will grow as the demand will make it larger.

In the meantime we will offer the service and any consumer who needs it. can contact us and we will refer them to any retail contact in their area and provided there is nobody, offer them our service.
